JomSocial 2.2 is compatible with Joomla 1.6. You can pair the latest version of Joomla with the best social networking tool.

Facebook Invites
Now you can conveniently invite your Facebook friends using the built-in friend inviter. Your members will also have the same features so every member can contribute to growth the community together.

Share Box
Our new improved share box allows you to share status updates, post photos or videos, create events and set privacy level for each item, all in a single place.

All New Toolbar
The new toolbar will have discrete notification for friend requests, private messaging and others. The new navigation is much more practical with tabs for frequently visited pages. You can now personalize the toolbar menu easily through Joomla's menu manager.


Activity Stream
The most sought after feature for 2.2 is Like and Comment for activity streams. Friends and public members will be able to like and comment certain items in activity stream.

Improved Layout
Frontpage modules for Latest Photo/Video/Members are separated from Activity stream. They are now located at the sidebar for improved user experience.

More Backend Control
Admins will be able to create new groups from Joomla backend and set the daily limit for video and photo uploads. Template setting for JomSocial has its own page now and a host of new options.

Anti Spam System
Admin has the option to use Akismet to detect spam from all user-created content like comments, replies and status updates.
