Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines Corp. maintains market leadership and achieves 5.6% growth in comprehensive income for FY2026, demonstrating remarkable corporate resilience despite global supply chain disruptions and environmental challenges.
This strong finish highlights how we navigated a complex fiscal year to deliver value to our stakeholders. Here is a breakdown of our performance for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026:
The Numbers Behind the Success
Translating our financial metrics into clear insights reflects our commitment to professional transparency. While the global landscape presented hurdles, our core fundamentals remains strong:
- 📉 Net Sales: ₱16.14B (A 4.5% decline from ₱16.90B in FY2025). This was influenced by external factors including port congestion, typhoon-related disruptions to dealer activity, and a decline in export transactions to Taiwan.
- 📈 Total Comprehensive Income: ₱547.1M (A 5.6% growth from ₱518.0M in FY2025). Supported by favorable actuarial revaluations, this increase underscores the robust overall health of the Group.
- 💰 Gross Profit: ₱3.33B (A 4.9% increase from ₱3.17B in FY2025). Disciplined cost management and production efficiencies allowed us to expand margins even as sales volumes fluctuated.
- 🏆 Market Position: PMPC continues its undisputed leadership in the Refrigerator and Washing Machine categories, a testament to the enduring trust of Filipino consumers.
Driving Long-Term Value: Vision 2030
Our resilience is powered by the "One Panasonic" approach, which integrates research, manufacturing, and sales to accelerate growth. We are aggressively expanding our B2B sales volume as a key pillar of our PMPC 2030 Vision.
A tangible symbol of this commitment is the new factory building in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. With the contract entered in June 2025, this project is focused on replacing aging infrastructure and upgrading technology with new machines and molds. This investment ensures we are ready to meet the evolving demands of the B2B sector while strengthening our local production capabilities.
"Green Impact" & Sustainability
Corporate responsibility is at the heart of our storytelling. We are not just building products; we are building a sustainable future through our "Zero Impact" initiatives at our Sta. Rosa and Taytay plants:
- 100% Green Electricity: The Sta. Rosa plant has successfully transitioned to renewable energy sources for all purchased electricity.
- Towards a 100% Zero-CO2 Plant: We are actively converting our diesel forklift fleet to electric models to eliminate operational carbon emissions.
- EPR Act Compliance: In partnership with the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), we are ensuring the effective recovery and recycling of plastic packaging, fulfilling our duties under the Extended Producer Responsibility Act.
